carpet??

May be an obvious question, but can anyone advise where I would be able to find a piece of carpet / rug, say 15 x 10 ft to be used in living area. And what would I expect to pay. I have a 11 mth old so looking for something pretty basic, plain in colour that can be cleaned easily.

Ikea wool rugs aren't big enough and GOD wool / sisal and grass cost about $6k to custoem make....

Ta V much

Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
There were a couple of shops i went into in the Ocean Plaza over in TST. They had nice rugs for about $600, but i really wouldn't know the names of the shops they were in. Sorry!

You sound desperate. Years ago there used to be a made-to-order carpet/rug store on Hollywood Road at the bottom end near the top of LKF. Alternatively, try further up the road or on Cat Street. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

why not buy a couple of the ikea rugs and either sew them together or ust use very heavy duty duct tape on the back of them to secure them together?

It might look a tad weird, but at the same time, it would be cheap and easily cleanable.

Other than that, I have no idea where to find a carpet.

There are rug shops on Queens Road East. I also saw a rug shop in TST yesterday in the New World Centre - ground floor - very close to the Rennaissence Hotel. Plus it had a sale on!

I'm sure there's a few on Queen's Road E, near the Lockhart road renovation shops, that specialize in curtains, blinds, and rugs. There is one near the Empire Hotel area, across the st from the large church, that has "business carpetting". I forget if it came as a roll or as squares, however, it is hard wearing and hides dirt well.

Good luck!!
