Unwanted faxes

Is there any way to stop the constant flow of unwanted faxes to one's machine? Finding it really obnoxious of various businesses to send unsolicited marketing to my fax # at my expense and nuisance!!!!

I'm not suggesting that you do this but ... someone once photocopied a blank piece of paper several times, joined them up and fed it through their fax machine back to the fax-spammer.

You need to call the provider of your fax line and ask them to put your fax number(s) into a 'not-to-call' list which will then be published in the OFTA's web site.

Once you are on the 'not-to-call' list but still receive unsolicited fax messages, you can lodge a formal complaint to OFTA.

Details see: http://www.ofta.gov.hk/en/junkfax/ntc-list.html

Dumb workaround...
Use WinFax or any other Fax software, if you have PC, and save paper....

I don't think the OP would have raised this if he was using a pc so I assumed that he must be using a fax machine. But hey whatever gets you going.

roll the junk fax back and glue the ends until it is one round sheet of paper. Then write Remove on it and fax it back to the spamming BASXXXD. This will solve your problem especially if you leave it running all night.

I had a problem with junk faxes and this tip was given to me by the PCCW technician. It works.

These methods only work if the originator is actually a fax machine.
Most are now computerised and may not even accept incoming faxes.
