Where can I find good airfare to south India? There are plenty of good airfare to Southeast Asia, such as BKK or Singapore. Does anyone know good price to South India, say Chennai (Madras)?

your best bet would be to contact Air Lanka, and take their Hk-Madras rate to your travel agent and see how much better they can get. If you need a travel agent try Excella Travels http://www.excellatravel.com/

Can one get better rates online or through an agent. I plan on travelling to Delhi after Diwali, but cannot find a good deal. The best deal online is from Air India, and that also is not so good.

Like Kombuchakid said Air Lankan has the cheapest tickets(if u dont mind spending a day or two in transit!! ) Else check Singapore Airlines. They have a regional wing called Silk Air that connects to many south indian dest's like Chennai, Trivandrum etc from Singapore. A recent ticket to Trivandrum cost around HK$5500.(Remember its peak season to that part of the world at the moment)
