There are cinemas that screen Indian movies, but they tend to be limited to mega-budget, 'blockbuster' flicks that are specially shown every now and then. You'd be better off buying DVDs of them (available with subtitles, of course) at Chung King Mansions in TST. You'll also find out details of Indian movies being screened in HK.

How about Mangal Pandey. I hear this flich is worth watching.
Has anyone seen it?
Tried buying the DVD several times at CKing and they were horrible copies. The last one was almost perfect but the subtitles were from Cutthroat Island hence the movie made no sense to me.

I really wish there was some place where Hindi movies were screened! I keep buying DVDs and now my living room has more DVDs than anything else. Plus I miss the fun of watching them in a cinema hall. Hong Kong has so many Indians living here, something should have been done about this by now, don't you think?

Can anyone tell me if the proper copies of Pehali are out yet ?

I am not into the crappy copies made with someone's videocamera.

I have tried a few times but not in the last 2-3 weeks.

I could not agree with Shweta more - got to start getting rid of these DVD's once you watch them.

You can mail your DVDs to the Salvation Army in Mumbai.
I ship them a lot of stuff from time to time and they put it to good use. I hate throwing away stuff that someone could use.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. But I don't think we (my husband and I) can get rid of the DVDs, even though storing them is becoming a problem We do watch them again. However, donation it to the salvation army is a very noble idea!

Katanga it looks like Paheli on DVD (good quality) is not easily available. I too would love to get my hands on a copy!
