Not necessarily...

Buses and trains tend to run at 'reduced frequencies' to keep ferrying stranded passengers here and there. But if you can manage get there in the first place, the shooters will be worth the trip. (just be sure to order a lot of them when the signal is still in place ).

Thats completely up to you... first I'd keep an eye on http://www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/currwx/tc_pos.htm which will show the forecast track of the typhoon as it moves through. Make your own decision about whether it will hit HK or not, and contact your airline and find out what the arrangements are for various typhoon signals.

golfduke - reconfirm your flight with the airline la...we really dont know if it will hit us but if you reconfirm and there's a typhoon and it gets cancelled..you know who to blame!!

The kangaroo bar in Wanchai will be showing the AFL final and if it does go T8 then it's happy hour prices 'til the signal lowers.
