I know they have a huge paintball course in Lychee village here in Yuen long.. never played it though.
But lychee is quiet remote...and they have some animals also and a park thats awsome with bbq, batcave and all.
Thats a real batcave.. not the batcave from the movie ;-)
And a playground thats everykids dream.
But from what i can tell..softairgun seems to be more popular here...though i never played that either..so i really wouldent know..
Dont even know why im posting this :P

Smile Paint Ball Fps and Joules. Paintballer in HK.

Hello,

PaintBalls Yes, pop! Splat ! And you are out.

Check out http://www.asiapaintball.com

Hong Kong company that develop a paintball marker that mimic close to 95% a real M-4 and Mp5. They hold paintball games too but you have to call ahead since these are not regular games.

Oh by the way, if you have a Paintball marker that is from US or from UK do not take it out in public. Reason is in Hong Kong firearm laws is different from US or UK law. Instead of using fps ( feet per second ) to determine if the object is a firearm or not, in Hong Kong, the law uses energy (J or Joules).

If I remeber it correctly the legal limit in HK is less then 2 Joules. I can thell you that a UK or US Paintball Marker that launch a .62 cal paint ball is way over the Joules limit.

Paintball markers in HK use .40 cal and the Paintball itself is much lighter so they stay below the legal limit.

Hope this helps.

Zippy

Zippy,

I still have hard time with all the terms you use...you must be professional. Smile. I'm the first time, never tried this before. But very determined to try now.

anyway, do you know how big the group should be? Try to get friends to go...so it's best to know how many are needed

So that means my U.S. paintball guns are considered illegal in HK? I can't use them in any paintball course?

Does these lower powered paintball guns still hurt? Is it still hard to see the paintballs fly through the air like with U.S. paintball guns?

I've personally fired U.S. paintball guns and real firearms in the past.

There are some great U.S. paintball guns out there like the model 98....all of these are banned?

Edit: Man it looks like the selection of paintball guns is seriously limited due to Hong Kong's extremely lame firearm laws. I guess that means no fully automatic paintball guns like in the states.

Will http://www.paintballhq.com.hk/'s rental clothes like jersey and cargo pants fit me? I'm 6'2"

Smile US made paintball markers might not be legal here in HK.

Hello,

I am afraid the U.S. made .62 cal paintball marker is not legal in Hong Kong if the output power is over 2 Joules. It doesn't really matter if it is a marker or airsoft or Tennis ball launcher. Anything that can launch a projectile that is over 2 Joules can be consider a projectile weapon.

Just don't take your Paintball Marker out in public. Not many people in HK has seen a Paintball marker with a hopper and compress air/co2 tank attached as the butt stock.

.40 cal paintball still hurts. I got pop in the head a few times and was bruised. The other time I got hit on my forearm at close range during CQBT play. I was nicked and cut.

U.S. made paintball markers are not sold in Hong KOng at all. Too powerfull. I know there are some wicked ones out there.

I have no experience with PaintballHQ. I am sure they can give you more details. I only had played in the paintball games from Asiapaintball people.

Good luck and have fun.
