Can be shorter than 4 weeks ...

From the moment you receive your case number, it can all go thru in 3 1/2 weeks, if all goes well. Happend to a case filed quite recenty ... in August.

Hi Emigra, I do not know how to send a PM to you, but would like to check with you how your cmopany can manage to speed up my application. Could you please give me a PM instead. THANKS!!!

Not easily, and ImmD gets irritated if people chase them within the official time for a response (4-6 weeks). If it's less than 6 weeks since you HR submitted the application then you need to be patient.

Quick Visa

I have not read all the threads above but I came from the UK last week to HK and my visa took 1 week for me and 3 dependants, I guess I was lucky but there is hope.

I just got my work visa and it took 3 weeks time to get it.

So, I think that's nothing to worry about the visa. I tendered my resignation letter before getting my visa. Although it is a risk, but this risk can be avoided. This is only my personal opionion.
