Thanks guys for all the suggestions.

I've been looking at hotels again, and have found (what seems) a nice budget one in Kowloon. It's called the Sing Ho hotel, and according to hotel.com.hk, it's rather new (opened in May this year I believe).

Anyone heard of this one?

It works out to be a bit over budget, but my girlfriend decided that she only wants to stay in a hotel now!!
