They are excellent for booking hotels in China.

Nice and easy to use website with photos of the hotels.

You might also want to consider China Travel Services in HK as well. A little more expensive and you pay for your hotel in advance and get a coupon to take with you. I always feel safer this way. Saying that, I have never been let down by elong.com.
