Doctor's in HK

Can anyone tell me which is the best family practice to attend either: Canossa Hospital (Caritas) or HK Adventist Hospital. Does anyone have experience with either of these places. Thanks Guys

Kimmi : Both the Canossa and the Adventist have competant staff. We use both. Our son was born in the Adventist and we use the OP department for minor emergencies on weekends -- when our regular GP is not available.

We tend to use GPs who are err .. less prone to using antibiotics and over medicating.

If you have a young child, Dr Dannie Ting who is one of the main doctors at the Baby clinic is extremely competant. We take our son there or to her private clinic in Central.

One of the most popular family GP practices is Dr. Lucy Lord & Associates in the Shui On Centre.

We can also highly recommend Dr. Brian Walker ("Doc McJock" on Radio 3 on Saturday morning). He recommended bathing our daughters infected eye in cold tea rather than using antibiotics - and it worked!

He's in the Prince's Building.

Yeah, Brian is a bit of a star. He's my GP.

I'd probably recommend Susan Jameson's practice too.

Dr. Brian Walker

Found this string while searching for doctors. I got a bug bite that's swollen up to be a wide as a baseball (although still quite shallow) and would like to go see a good, western-trained doctor about it. Assuming Dr. Walker would be a good choice, does anyone have a phone number? I've searched online and only come up with his registratin number.. the medical council of hong kong website doesn't list any contact info. If he's not the right person for this kind of thing, can anyone suggest someone who might be? In Central area would be best. thanks!

Call 1081 and get his number. His new clinic is in Princes Building.

I know his clinic is right next to ICAIR associates ... call them.

Is 1081 directory assistance? If so, great, another resource I hadn't previously known about.

thanks!
