problems with getting a new place: deposit

have been living at a friend's place since arriving in HK so it's all been very flexible, but now will need to move in a few weeks. however, due to issues at work, pay may be a problem and so it'll be hard meeting the deposit requirements without digging deep into my safety margin.
do you guys know of any options? where would one be able to get an apartment with the bare minimum of up front moneys? i need something humble but as furnished as possible, and convenient albeit not necassarily central in location. heck it could actually be way out there.

let me know if anything comes to your mind, or if someone you know has a property to let.

thanks!

Drop this guy a line: http://rentaroomhk.com/

He'll be able to make some temporary arrangements for you while you get your finances sorted out.

Cerebus, I just spoke to the owner today. Check it out for yourself, I've not seen the place for myself.

Like I thought you said, its temporary until you get your payroll sorted out.

KIA, went there and it's a bit pricey for the size/amenities/design. not bad, and the people are friendly. however, they want a one month deposit which i think goes against the flexibility of a short term lease. if i'm plonking 15000 or so for the nicer room, might as well rent a 5500 dollar apartment that'll have better stuff in it. and yes, i know the location's very conveniet, that's why they can charge as much as they do.

my payroll problem means i'm not comfortable putting down a lot of money at once, and with rentaroom it'll be as difficult as a regular place.

will talk to them again later, and thank you for the help.
