| | | California Fitness Membership Hi guys, just to say hi to everyone in GoExpat.
I just relocated to Hong Kong 1 month ago. I am an active fitness person, used to be a member of Fitness First in Sydney but not anymore.
I have intentions to join California Fitness (becoming a new member in HK) and I would like to know what best pricing package they can offer.
I heard from people around me saying that these fitness centres tend to vary the membership pricings, and hence an input from you guys/gals would be very appreciated.
Thanks. | |

| | | Cal Fitness Membership for sale Hi,
I have a platinum California Fitness Membership that does not expire until 2007, that I would like to sell. My husband moved gyms and I want to join his gym instead. So if you are interested in purchasing my membership, contact me.
Thanks
Kelly

| | | There are many factors that decide what you pay. Mine, for example, is TTSS (tues/thurs/sat/sun), meaning that I can go anytime on those day at the Causeway Bay club. Costs 299 a month. 299 can also get any day but off-peak hours (7-9am and 5-9pm are peak hours). For any day/any time memberships the lowest you can get is 399.
Also forgot to mention that I didnt have to pay that rubbish signup fee. You can talk your way out of it.
As for the type of people who go there, it is mostly locals.
Make sure you chose a gym you like, if you are serious fitness junkie. If you just want to be alone and lift weights, Physical is cheap and has the basics. If you like a crowd and want to do a general fitness program, go for California.
FitnessFirst and Pure are two other gyms that are mentioned a lot on this forum, but have never been. I guess it is popular with expats, but I think you will find it expensive.
Hope this helps. | |

| | | Well normally it is not transferable. But in my case, I am friends with the CFO and so it would be an exception. Let me know if you are still interested. Thanks | |
