Can anyone help?
Neither look amazing but are the only ones I can find for in my budget of 10K.
CAn anyone give advice on what either are like? Is W studio really grubby?

I stayed at W-Studios for just over 6 months and while is isn't a palace the rooms were clean, the aircon worked, the shower was good and the internet connection was quick, which is all I needed at the time. When I left they converted the bigger rooms into small rooms which will have increased the density and may have changed the character somewhat.

The guys who run it are very decent and are very helpful to newcommers in HK. It was fine for what I wanted and as you say there isn't much choice at that end of the market. If your budget will stretch there is a better choice for around 15K.

I have no idea about DeVictoria, I dont even know where it is.

ive just settled for portobello lodge in aberdean. Wstudios and Devictoria look nice enough but when you actually try and get a room there youll find they dont have any, and W (and H) studios dont always reply to your emails. Id advise getting a internet telephoney service such as skype (so you can make international calls for v.v.v.cheap) and just ringing places up....
