Quit your job and move to Hong Kong and then find a job. I have been through the same, as HK people when they are interested in you, they will want you to come for interview immediately.

Yeah, given that you'll be a dependant of your wife who is a local, you'll have the ability to work here without a problem.

By the way, keep in mind that there are a fair number of Asia Pac HQs in Singapore, so you should be able to get a fair number of leads while you're there.

The key as GR mentioned .. is to get here and use the contacts to get you in the door for an interview.

Yep, move to HK and find a job. I was looking for a job in HK whilst I was in Melbourne and didn't get any interview offers (even though I was willing to take the earliest flight out).

www.jobsdb.com/HK is a good site for searching jobs in HK as well as Classified Post online (www.classifiedpost.com) and Career Times (www.careertimes.com.hk)

Another small recruitment company is www.blaneymundy.com in HK. They're quite good at sourcing higher managemement jobs.
I got headhunted by them and they dealt very professionally.
