Hummus is easy to make. Here's what you need:

Can of Chickpeas
3 cloves of garlic
Juice of a Lemon
Tablespoon of Tahini (sesame paste. availale at Wellcome or Olivers/Great)
Salt to taste
Little bit of water

Add all ingredients to food processor and viola!

maddogmerrick can only hope to improve
Thumbs down

Some of you mentioned Habibi. I remember a couple of years ago Habibi served excellent food in big portions.

I agree that Habibi's food has gone downhill and now sucks. I heard it is because they now use a cheap Filipino cook who does not know how to cook Middle Eastern food.

shoho is on a distinguished road
Went to Habibi last night for the first time. Thought the food was excellent, including the hummus, and will be going back.

hey frequented shalom, that place in fortune house max mentioned. had the lunch special for 85 bucks: some hummus (they gave me extras coz it was judt tiny to begin with), a huge shnitzel/chicken breast, salad and drink. to the point, their hummus is pretty good, service fast and decor homey simple. it was just empty so i felt lonely and sad eating there.

Ah .. always the exception that proves the rule.

Cerberus, did they give you 20% off your lunch bill? They have an offer where if you dine in during lunch on weekdays, they give you 20% off your total bill.
