Short Term Stay in HK

Hi

I need some advice; I am looking for short term stay in North Side HK Island (preferably). I've been to HK before and have always stayed in NT with my Grandparents. This time I'll be bringing a friend who has never been to HK and I was thinking about staying somewhere a bit livelier. We are going to be in HK for just over 2 weeks. (End of Oct- Beg Nov)

Do you think it makes more sense to stay in a serviced apartment/ furnished apartment then to pay minium HK$700 a night for a hotel room?

I've seen that a few of you have suggested IBIS on other threads; does anyone else have any other guesthouse suggestions? or know of any service or furnished apartments that have no minium stay (or have weekly stay).

I like to keep it cheap but yet nice,

please help!

Most service apartments that I have been looking at have a 1 month minimum stay. Some do have daily rates but it is no cheaper than a hotel.
You are coming to HK in peak season and I suggest that you book something sooner rather than later.
Good luck.

Thanks Sazzy, I got plenty of replies about the serviced apartments and most have a minimum stay of a month exactly what you said, though Circle apartment did offer me a studio for $10,000 for 14 nights. Never knew hotels could be so expensive in HK. Might have to resort to priceline........

Try YMCA TST or a hostel such as Wang Fat

Hi

I stayed in HK for 10 days in Wang Fat hostel. My friend and I shared a twin room with cable TV and bathroom and view of the harbour...

The YMCA in TST is right beside The Penninsula and offers excellent value and standards (Its virtually a hotel).

Try zuji.com for hotel bookings. I stay in a serviced apartment in CWB which costs 5500 per month. Hotels on Zuji start around 450 per night.

Have a great trip

Dwayne

Try Noble Hostel in CWB (Paterson street). It is small but ppl are friendly and it is clean and right in the middle of the city. Cost about 320 A night.
