Funny British Comedies

I really enjoy British comedies, but I dont know the names of the popular sitcoms. Can anyone name a few? Also provide locations where to purchase?

Thanks!

The Office is pretty good. They made an American version recently, but the Brit is better. Oldies-- you can try Fawlty Towers, Are you being served. Some like Absolutely Fablous, but I don't get it. oh, you should totally check out Mr. Bean. he's cool!

There are loads of classic British comedies but not sure if you can get them all on DVD/Video. The most current one which is very popular is The Office. Available on DVD.

Other to watch out for:

-Last of the Summer Wine
-Some Mothers have them all
-Mr. Bean
-Blackadder (I have bought VCD's from HMV)

I suggest that if you have NOW TV you checkout the BBC Prime channel which shows quite a few of the classic comedies.

I am sure others here will add a few more...all depends on how far back you want to go.

Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
There has only been two series of LB, plus the comic relief special they did last year. Great show! Other classic British shows are 'Only fools and horses', 'Bottom', 'The fast show' and 'Red dwarf'.

Yes, Office! I remember seeing it a few weeks back. It is hysterical! I heard it was recently discontinued. Is that true?
