Loved the Young Ones; made Rik Mayall. I found it hilarious then but sadly it hasn't aged well. The 'Bomb' episode must be the best.

You take that back I think its aged okay. I love Rik and Adrian Edmonson in Bottom though, that show it absolutely hillarious.

I don't know. Whenever I watch an old episode I cringe a little when I don't find the punch line funny. Mind you I don't have the vhs copies anymore.

Hey no way, I'm a hoarder and that vhs (s-vhs) deck is staying as long as it carries on to work (and it works way better than the dvd recorder!).

I totally agree! I remember when DVD was just hitting stores and thinking, yes no more chewed tape and tracking problems. Now i'm thinking, Fu**ing stupid DVD player, cant you play without skipping three chapters....

My major gripe is with its ability to be NON user friendly. Why does it take so long to just turn on? My vhs deck turns on instantaneously, the dvd deck takes over 30 seconds!
Recording is also slow to start and end as is changing channels or source.
Then there is the remote control that was designed by a 2-year old. Button layout with no logical placement and all the same size, shape and colour (well almost).
While I'm ranting ... my vhs deck can set timed recordings to follow one another. The dvd deck needs a gap of 5 minutes!

What i don't understand is, just about every DVD deck sold now is multiregional, so why are DVD discs still zoned?

caroline13 is on a distinguished road
Anyone remember the title of the series that stars Dawn French as a vicar in a small English town? It's relatively recent I think. Would love to get those DVDs.
