Modern design app. in Midlevels for less than 25k

Hi there,

I will relocate to HKG by the end of this year / beginning of next year and was absolutely clueless before I stumbled across this page. Spent the last days skimming through the threads here and found that the Midlevels are the location to go for for a guy who is a Newcomer to HKG and enjoys his nightlife.

During my research I came across the Home2Home properties (www.home2home.hk). Love the design of Ovolo, Erba and their other projects but am not so keen on serviced apartments. Am looking for a fully furnished one bedroom apartment in the Midlevels that can compare with the Home2Home designs but at the same time does not cost that much. My budget will most likely be below 25k. Does anybody know of any other buildings, condos, apartments in that area or close by with a similar modern design?

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

Hi

I have the same question - surely some people in this forum can shed some light on the question ? I.e, are there any apartments newly rennovated / furnished in a Western style in Midlevels / Central which are not serviced ?

There seem to be a lot of newer apartment complexes down on the Sheung Wan / Central area near Queens Road (e.g, Hollywood Terrace, Princeton Tower etc).....but the furnishings don't seem to be all that nice in those apartments? (And it doesn't really seem to be an expat area?)

Thanks - any help is much appreciated

We stayed at Hanlun Habitats when we first arrived - kind of that danish look but very well laid out to make the best use of the available space. It was serviced but they were quick and not very intrusive and would come back later if you were in when they wanted to do the room. Our studio was about $22k per month and despite being small didn't feel crammed because the design was good. They do have bigger ones but they were all booked when we wanted one. They have 3 or 4 buildings near Robinson Road so you could strike it lucky and I think the price varies by building. Take a look at moveandstay.com.
Now I live in Sheung Wan (more like just above it), our building is all expats and I love the area, its really convenient, always get a seat on the tram or train becasue its the end of the line and heaps of shops for stuff that you need whereas too close to the escalator the shops are less 'practical'.
