Walks for children

Hi,
I know I've seen somewhere that there's a great road to take your kids for a walk in town, but I can't remember it's name. Can anyone help out and while you're at it is there anywhere else you can recommend for walking and just hanging out in an open space?

Jools

Possibly Bowen Road. I guess it depends on the age of the kids. There are a couple of kids' playgrounds on Bowen Road - one where near the junction with Wanchai Gap Road (which is pedestrians only, and comes up the hill from Queen's Road East)), and one about 1.5km along from there towards Central.

If the kids are old enough to just enjoy walking in the countryside then there are so many trails around HK island to take them on...

Thanks PDLM. Bowen Road sounds familiar, we'll investigate.

Hong Kong For Kids is what you need.

Suggests several outdoor activities with good instructions. My 3 yr old pulls it off the shelves whenever he's bored!

Aside from buying the book, you might also try the Peak trail which begins from Tregunter Path and takes you up to the Peak. The ice cream shop at the top is a nice reward for the occasionally steep climb (but my 3 yr old does it).
