The Ashes

I'm really dying to watch the ashes series and with one match to go its going to be quite a fight for survival between the Aussies and Poms.

Anyone aware of a place where they are showing the matches ?

It will be fun to watch it in a group and if we can identify a place and an exciting day (probably 10 Sep - Day 3 and Sat nite) ... it should be fun.

Any suggestions ?

Taurus, a couple of bars down in Wan Chai show the ashes. The white stag and another one near it directly across the road from Fenwicks on Lockhart road have it all on. There's probably more too.

The Dickens in the Excelsior Hotel tends to show the matches. Call them.

The problem with watching the Ashes on the Saturday is that the Tri-Nations match and the English football will take priority. So Im not sure who will show it. Best to call pubs and ask them! I watched it in Delaneys, Wan Chai last Friday.

Delaney's is probably your best bet. They have three separate bars so the cricket is bound to take prominence in one of them. Or watch it downstairs, you can watch England v Wales on the big screen and keep one eye on the ashes on one of the smaller screens around the place.

Come on Aussies!

The last match of the tri-nations is this Saturday (3/9). The 5th test is the following week, so no clash there.

The FCC shows it on the big screen if you know a member who can buy your drinks there (and if you fancy an older crowd).

Otherwise, Kangaroo bar, White Stag, Delaney's, etc. Many options.
