Happy Valley or Jardine's Lookout?

Hi there, I know there are a million location threads - so sorry to ask another question but have started going cross eyed in my search. Does anyone have an opinion on these two places? I am trying to make a decision on two apartments (one in each place). Happy Valley seems like a more convenient location with a nice villagey feel. Jardine's Lookout has a beautiful view... Anyone lived in both / either and like to share their thoughts? Should mention we have a little girl so kiddy friendly is a plus! Thanks for your help.
V.

I live in Jardine Lookout, Tai Hang
yes, it is great place to get around
have bus (no. 41 **I think about HK$8) to go to Aberdeen or Stanley market
have mini-bus to go back to Causeway bay (HK$3.80 max)
have bus (no. 11) to go to Central to work
**it is a go-around-route, every 10-15minutes.. approx HK$7

and short driving distance to Happy Valley (many good coffe shop, and wine/bar restaurant...very quiet)
**famous Oyster bar,Starbuck, Pacific Coffee,
the best Dim-Sum restaurant in HK is in Happy Valley
(very expensive)
also there is a good wanton noodle/congee shop
few Japanese BBQ.

Happy Valley can be reached by Tram from Causeway Bay, going back to Causeway Bay area by dropping you off in Wahchai (near Time Square)
there are also few Mini-Bus route...
**and the Jockey-Club of Happy Valley is famous for winning Mark-Six...(something to do with its "FungSui") **not the race course location....but the bidding station inside Happy Valley

Happy valley would be a good choice, as far as getting around HK is concerned. plus with the facilities in the race course are also pretty good for kids and adults alike.

Personally I value a great view from my apartment very highly. Jardine's Lookout is not that inconvenient for transport. I dont know about the kid's facilities but I would go for Jardine's Lookout - more peaceful.

Thanks heaps for your replies - it is a relief to know either will be good & ok for transport! Best dim sum in HK sounds interesting - will have to check that out wherever we end up!

With a kid that age I'd opt for Jardine's Lookout, specially the apts away from the main arteries. Cleaner air. From my place I get a view down HKCC, Happy Valley and the harbour and beyond and Jardine's Lookout is well above what in the day time I call the "brown line" (for the hue of the air that fills the basin of Happy Valley, CWB, Wanchai, Central and the hazy harbour and a near-invisible Kowloon). Depends on the building of course, but in general JL has pleasanter accommodation than HV below. For singles or childless couples, HV may be more attractive - more action.
