On Moving to Hk

Hi there! I'm a doctor back home. Is there a possbility for me to pursue further training in HK? A residency training. Does anyone know what steps I should take? And if i get a dependent visa, does that mean I couldnt work? thanks

It depends on what country you come from and what credentials you already have. Take contact with the Faculty of Medicine at HKU, it's the most recognized institution. http://www.hku.hk/facmed/index.html here's some good info to http://www.hku.hk/surgery/recognizoversea.htm

Working in Health Care.

Hello Tina, Raz and possible others,

Can't really help you with tips or places where to go for extra training as a docter, sorry for that. Do have a question related to health care though.

I'm a Dutch trained Intensive Care nurse looking for a job and what the best way is to get a job in health care in HK. Does anyone now about foreign nurses working in hospital settings ?
Any suggestions on how to go about looking for a job, etc, etc ?

I'll keep my eyes open if i find any interesting information for you Tina.

And thanks you all for any information.

Some of the hospitals like the Matilda will hire overseas professionals if it fits their user demographics.. i.e. if a fair number of Dutch people use their hospitals.

Hello! thanks a bunch. Do you guys know what agency or office handles the medical doctor's licensure exams or the residency training itself?
