I've just received my instructions from the UK and I have to return with silk fabric next time I go back. Does anyone know where I can get some? (Only a few sq m, not wholesale amounts).

Have you tried the Western Market? It's been a while since I was there last, but I seem to remember seeing a few shops selling silk etc there.

I think there's a market that sells fabrics and things somewhere in Sham Shui Po, but I don't know where or if it's only wholesale.

Sham Shui Po is the only place for trade. Other areas are retail focused although Western Market is pretty good for a small place.
If you have time to go to Lo Wu then in the Shops complex there is a very big materials section.
