where to buy authentic branded bags?

Is it cheaper to get it in duty free or in shops? can't find any branded shops on sale. I'm looking at Coach bags or Gucci.

can't speak for Coach or Gucci but I was looking at TUMI bags and thank god I didn't buy at the airport. It was about 10% cheaper at Lane Crawford.

Bottom Line: there is nothing "free" about duty free as far as non-alcohol and ciggies are concerned.

I'm flying out on Monday and am looking to buy a camera.

Heard some bad reports with regards buying electrical goods in HK. Would it be better just to buy at the airport?

Depends on who you trust right? People who gave you the bad reports ... or people you don't know, on the internet.

Cameras? Avoid TST and try Stanley St In Central, but you will always have problems once back home if it malfunctions. Try for a brand with global service or ask your local camera shops about their policies re foreign bought cameras before you even leave the UK. Is it Amex that give you a 2 month guarantee on goods?Never heard of anyone using it though!

I second McDude in that you are better off buying one with an international guarantee/warranty. Careful of the so-called International Traveller's Warranty which has some restrictions.
Alternatively, if you want to take the risk of buying without an internation warranty then you may just aswell buy a grey import from a shop in Mong Kok as it will be much cheaper.

Back on topic ... there are shops that sell authentic branded bags in shopping centres/malls. Try Telford Gardens, Tseung Kwan O Park Central.

With Dickson card, you can buy Coach at Seibu with 10% discount I believe. Probably similar at other department stores with their own credit cards/discount cards.

I buy a lot of Coach gear when I travel back to the US. I have noticed that the Coach stuff sold in HK is made in China while the same stuff they sell in the US is made in the US or Mexico. The prices tend to be much cheaper than HK and the quality better.
