P.S. saltwater> mmm, somehow I don't think my niece would agree with us boycotting Disneyland. On the upside, if peeps stay away from Disneyland, then maybe it won't be too crowded on the day we visit.

You'd think so... but only the locals may boycott (not much chance of that - any girl on the street thinks this is the biggest thing since Andy Lau!

Imagine tens of thousands of mainland tourists and their spoilt brat sons walking around buying cheesy merchandise, and its becomes much easier to avoid Disneyland alltogether...

Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
Hopefully by December the thrill will have died down.

Sigh.......I do some work for a few hours and Baron shows just what an arrogant twat he is.

Know it all may allow those that have been here more latitude but when he lets them dictate the tone and posting content on the site through his protection, it quickly becomes a worhtless place to be.

This site will have lost a considerable amount of expertise today, and its all down to Baron. I hope those 388 posts of his were outstanding.

Well, there are the Christmas holidays in December, which present yet another opportunities for busloads of mainlanders to 'do Disney'. Personally, I'd pick a week day in a week that has no holidays (not that I'd go, of course ) I wonder if one day people in HK will use terms like "before Disney" and "after Disney" in the same vein as "pre-handover"/"post-handover"? It seems to be a surprisingly big deal to a great many - and they are only letting in 30,000/day.

Are they going ahead with the Shanghai Disneyland, or is that just an idea still?

It's just a rumor but a persistent one that ceases to die ... perhaps the Disney folks have secret plans but don't want to confirm them because it might impact the number of people willing to squander their hard-earned RMB in our HK park.
