Eateries in Causeway Bay? Where do you usually eat in CWB area? good and reasonably priced. Not those restaurants in times square. Thanks.

Throw a stone in any direction and you'll hit a restaurant in causeway bay. (Assuming you're throwing the stone while you're in Causeway Bay). I don't mind the food court in the basement of times-square. By the way, very reasonable vietnamese restaurant near the flyover -- on the other side.. not the times-square side. Wonder if its still open.

Strangely, I can't think of many good restaurants in CWB, much less good and reasonably priced. I like the curry lunch buffet at the Dickens Bar in the Excelsior, Shalimar on Pennington St. for more Indian. There's a good vegetarian restaurant - Kung Tak Lam - near Victoria Park. The East End Brewery is good for after-work drinks & snacks.

As already mentioned on another site: what kind of food do you like? and what is your budget (everyone has a different concept of "reasonable", especially here in Hong Kong)? Here are some ideas: Vietnamese: Cannon Street (off Gloucester Road) has two restaurants that are pretty good. Very popular with locals. HK$50-HK$100 per person. Korean: Myung Ka in the World Trade Center and Sorabol in Lee Theatre are pretty good. HK$150-HK$300 per person. There's also the one, Kaya, in the same building as Shama serviced apartments across street from Times Square but it is pricier and I don't think the food is any better. Chinese/Seafood: I like Tai Woo on Percival Street. HK$100-HK$200, more if you splurge on fresh seafood. Ribs: I prefer Tony Roma's (World Trade Center) to Outback Steakhouse (Paterson Street). HK$150-HK$200. Uigher: Pasha (restaurant row off Cleveland St) is one of my favorites (try kashgar duck and the chicken sheesh kebabs; vegetable entrees tend to disappoint) although service is hit and miss. HK$150-HK$200. They have 15% off early bird before 8pm through the end of August. Hotpot: Little Fat Sheep in Causeway Bay Plaza. Famous chain from China. HK$150-HK$250. Italian and Spanish: Tried a couple in the area, wouldn't bother going back. Japanese: Still looking.

I second the recommendations for both the Dickens and Shalimar.
