Hi Guys!

A friend of mine will be coming to HK for a 2 years assignement.
His office will be located near Mei Foo.
How does the area look like?
Is it possible to get nice appartment there?

Never been there so, I m kind of clueless when he asked me advices.

Yeah, Mei Foo is pretty decent ..

Would recommend taking a look at centanet.com or gohome.com.hk for listings.

Mei Foo is actually not that big and more like a residental area, very local and family orientated. Nice place though,very convenience cos there is a MTR station & a big bus terminal.
I reckon your friend's office is more like in between Lai Chi Kok & Mei Foo since LCK is really where all the offices are.

Mei Foo also has the Lai Chi Kok Park with public swimming pools, tennis courts, wakeboard court, basket ball courts, two soccer courts etc.

Most apartments are range from 600-2000 sq. feet.

I think Mei Foo is the biggest or one of the biggest private housing estate. It has 99 buildings. Most buildings are over 30 years old but a lot of renovated luxury apartments are very nice.

MeiFoo is old and big. Quite a landmark of Lai Chi Kok area. It's the first private housing estate in 70's for the richman. Even now, there are many hidden millionaire. Also many Japanese. Very nice place.

yeh there is a new development in Mei Foo, very nice...rental starts from 7K...
