Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
They work as long as there is not too much distance between, or too many appliances running that may cause interuption.

Not sure where you can pick them up over here. Suggest looking at any of the computer malls, or even ask at Fortress. Check around Mongkok.

tsuiwah will become famous soon enough
wouldn't it be easier to move the NOW Broadband connection (essentially a phone outlet) to the room with the tellie?

Our Now set-top box is about 20 meters away from the broadband box. PCCW can rewire for you. Infact they should have put the now box next to the telly and wired it up.

slingbox

I use Slingbox (do a search on Google). I watch TV on my laptop in the bedroom.

You can setup the Slingbox locally (living room to bedroom) or remotely (US to Hong Kong via Internet).

I have been watching the NFL preseason games from US remotely in Hong Kong via broadband.

RC and GE make a analog TV "rabbit" transmitter which is about $100 USD.

The loss in quality ... might not be worth it.

Send a message via ICQ to Grungerock
So, has anyone use the wireless TV transmitter (not talking about Slingbox) for TV broadcast using the in-the-house antenna in HK. How good is the Quality? I saw these units on sell in Wan Chai Computer Centre..

it's being advertised on another site, but it's a 2.4GHz that I used for the same purpose. Send me a PM if interested.
