Scar/Stretchmark cream

Hi - I've recently given birth to a beautiful baby boy. Does any know of/have suggestions for an effective scar (C-section)/stretch mark solution or cream?

Many thanks in advance.

You can use vitamin E oil and apply it at least once per day. It is important to get the oil and not just a cream.. it works great for scars. Jamieson makes a vit E oil that is good. If you cant get that one then you can purchase the capsules/pills and pop them with a pin.(more expensive but same!)

I used a gel called Gene Essence. Highly recommend. Their website is gvn-gene.com. You don't need much. Two orders cleared my scar from surgery up.

You can buy the oil at Shiu Shing Hong LTD, G/F, 130A Jervois St., Sheung Wan. Very close to the A(2?) exit of SW station. They also have a website.

For the scar tissue, you can use Mepiform, a self-adhesive silicone dressing which you cut to size. If you can't get it from your surgeon, you can buy it in Fanda Pharmacy (and probably elsewhere).

Thank you all for your input. I really appreciate it. I'm going to give the Jamieson and Gene products a go to start with. I'll report back to let you know the results of my "science experiment"!

Again, thank you,

Jenn

Thanks again all for your suggestions. In my own little science experiment, I tried Jamieson Vit E oil and Gene (each had half a scar to prove themselves!). I also bought some eye gel from gene for my tired eyes (they claimed it would help the bags).

So...the results...

Although Jamieson did help dull the redness, I forgot to apply it for two straight ays ad it just reverted back to it's old self. The Gene Essence was far and away better at decreasing the redness and it appears (so far) to have healed the scar...and the eye gel is definitely working. I recommend Gene very highly, but think Vit E oil would also work if you were diligent and had a smidgen of patience.
