Bump.

I'm up for a surf day... I haven't been out to BWB yet but have been wanting to check it out for months.

You know I kind of lost my wind once I got out here and saw how busy the waves were - my board has sat sad and alone in the kitchen ever since. Got a bit of surfing in in Oz over xmas, and have just been looking at surf safari's in Bali (although this whole drug planting thing is a bit worrying). I would defo like to give wake boarding a go - or if anyone fancies planning a trip to BWB I would be up for it - it sound a fair hike but would be cool if we did it in a little group (good to have people to get lots with!)

I'm considering heading out to BWB tomorrow... forecast is 1.1-1.6m waves.

My plan is to go check it out and rent a board if conditions look ok.

Thumbs up

I went out on Friday and it was worth it.. got out there and rented a longboard for HK$50.. got in the water around 11:30 or so. At first it was a little sloppy.. winds coming in from offshore. Around 1:00 the winds dropped off and there were some nice sets that came through. When I got there there were only two of us in the water.. later there were 8 or so. It rained almost the entire time, but I wasn't that concerned about getting wet considering I was in the ocean.

Hello All,

I've just arrived in HK from Australia and have only recently found out that you can actually surf here. This has got me very excited. A friend is bringing my board over mid-April and I'm planning a bit of a trip out to big wave bay (the one not on HK island). Just seeing if there is anyone out there keen to join me. Especially anyone who has made the trek before from what I can gather it is a bit of a mission.

Haven't been before but am willing to give it a go. As per my post the other day. Perhaps we should all meet up one night and discuss surfing/wakeboarding?

Anyone free around Easter?

Hi Jimbob, sorry didn't read your post until today but would be keen to catch up for a beer to plan a surfing or wakeboarding trip.
What about next weekend?
