My husband's in the garments field with about 8 years of experience , the last few at the manager level and a degree in textile technology.Would want to change from working at an exporters to a brand.Any ideas and what are the salary rates one should expect at the manager level

Jungles : I would say for someone with about 8 years experience & a Tertiary education, ideally you would be looking at something in the range of 600K - 800K annually. This is generic obviously and it all depends on a million factors : career background, career aspirations, drive, hunger etc. etc. etc. Also, not sure how easy it is to make the shift from one side of the garments industry to another. Best thing to do is to look at different job sites for adverts posted for experts in this industry, identify recruitment consultants that specialise in this field and speak to them directly.

Alright, alright, I was being pedantic but so many people post asking questions without giving any real background. Jobs and payscales are like the length of a piece of string here- there are people working in finance who are earning HKD 1 million per month and there are others working for 5k per month. Unfortunately education isn't always the key factor- as a lot of people who have ploughed 100's of k into MBA's etc well know.

Apologies if I was harsh, but I presume the lady in question knew I was being pedantic.
