We went early evening - almost turned round when we saw the sign. I've been three times now and the food has always been good and a large takeout each time!

Hey connecta, it would be great to meet you and dicey again! Don't know how extensive their seafood menu is, but they do have sinigang na hipon (as far as I remember), which is tamarind soup with shrimps

Just curious -- are you a vegan, connecta?

Dicey, how about rellenong bangus? Walang tinik iyon! (Incidentally, that's what I want to eat then...)

Rellenong bangus? Don't know that. I always thought bangus has tinik. Maybe it's a Baguio thing. Pero kung walang tinik, I would give it a try.

Hey, they surely have halabos na hipon, right? Every Filipino restaurant should have that.

Dios ko, it's not even dinner time yet at na gugutom na ako.

I have tasted sisig, Bicol express, karekare, adobo, and bistek tagalog there .. and they were all good. Which food made you go "ehhhh" biG|dUdE, ay taLL|dUdE pala.. hehehehe.

Dicey, rellenong bangus is boneless bangus. What they do is they detach the meat from the skin (I think the fish is boiled first, by the way); remove the tinik from the meat (not 100%, though, but as much as the nimble fingers and a clear vision can); then, return the meat back into the fish frame (with skin). Diced potatoes, raisins, green peas and carrots are added into the mixture first, before returning the meat into the frame (di ko alam ang tawag kasi e). The skin is sewed (sometimes, hindi na. They just wrap the fish in foil so that the meat won't fall out), and then the fish is fried... and eaten by Dona...

I wish they have laing... Oh, I don't like their pinakbet, of course. Being an Ilokana myself, only an Ilokana can cook the perfect pinakbet, with chicharon/bagnet in it..

Dicey, still hungry?
