sure, i'm not worried at all, although i will be definetely lost. i see it as a total tagalog immersion, which will be for sure funny maybe there will be a visit to the philippines this or next year, so it can be only helpful.

ah, and even in an hkg-locals-only event i can be sometimes lost as well, because my canto is not good at all. but in comparison to dicesix i am then suddenly the one-eyed among the blind and can translate a bit for her... i just hope dicesix won't punish me for that sentence by punching me two black eyes arai...

Hello!

Dona and I ate at this really yummy Filipino restaurant last Sunday. Was wondering if any Pinoys would want to have a Pinoy meal this week (Friday evening or Saturday lunch?). The servings are so huge (Dona and I ate like a dinosaur), so it's actually ideal to have it in a group. We had sinangag, bistek Tagalog, and kare-kare.

FYI, nighttime might not be a good idea to eat there because of the band. We can still have a get together somewhere else, though. :-)

As a gweilo just to say I agree Philippine Islands is much much better than Cinta J, and the helpings are enormous. Why do they have that no sandals or slippers rule? They let you in anyway.

I think it's relevant only for evenings perhaps? Dona and I stopped for a sec there as I was wearing flip flops!
