Baron is an unknown quantity at this point.
I'm from Melbourne in Victoria. If you ask me where is best i'll always say Melbourne coz i REALLY love it there (when i'm not living overseas). Melbourne has a bit of everything, easily the best food of any state, great sport (not rugby), great pubs and nightlife and great shopping. Most of all it has Australias best coffee and some great beaches. Seeing as you have some gay friends and like to 'shake your thang' though, Sydney may be your thing. I have to say though that every time i've been to Sydney, i hate it just a little bit more. Everything is one way and the food is shocking. Its just like the gold coast in Queensland...a tourist town! Everyone is up their own arse there. So Melbourne!!!
P.S I'm sure KIA will back me up on this one

Yep, I'm born and bred in Sydney but will have a lot of trouble moving back there one day. Would much prefer Melbourne anyday.

I'm a blues fan... how about you?

think melbourne will do just fine because my brother lived in melbourne for 5 years and sydney for 2 years and he preferred melbourne...have to look into it properly in few years time..yeah miss "neighbours" and "home and away"...used to watch them every week in london...think it's time for me to get cable!!..i'll prolly be calling in sick at work and be like if i get cable..on second thoughts..better not to...
