fun places to go on a date hmmm, I've been in HK a few weeks now and I've been trying to find some good places to go with my girlfriend but have had very little luck. hanging out at bars or clubs isn't our thing but somewhere nice and relaxing might be good. I found a zoological and botancical garden in Central and I know the peak has a good view, but are there any other places? And suggestions as to what's fun to do as a date or even what your ideal date is would be nice too! thanks ahead of time!

We used to love going to a park and sitting on the grass etc etc but you cant seem to do that in HK - sit on grass. How about heading down to the beach (when its not raining)? What do you like to do? We have taken up hiking since being here - good way to get some exercise + see HK. Its great to get away from the traffic, noise + pollution - you can even hear birds sing!!

There are a few places to sit on grass in HK. One is up on the Peak - keep going up the hill from the Peak Cafe and right up near the true peak you will find a park with a large grassed area, heavily populated by picnicking DHs on nice Sundays, but I guess fairly quiet at other times.

hiking seems like a good choice, where would be a nice place to hike? sitting on grass sounds nice too, but then it's been raining these days so that might not be such a good option. Hmm, any good places to go to get a good view of stars? btw, thanks for such quick replies! and knowitall, I've looked at those restaurants, but sadly when I took her to aqua roma she felt a little outta place so I think those restaurants will give her the same feel. Thanks for the suggestion though!

no stars im afraid - too much light pollution! Well, for hiking I would recommend getting a proper walking map. I would recommend a Lamma walk http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/...lk_walk6.jhtml Or a walk around Tai Tam Reservoir http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/...lk_walk9.jhtml The Tai Tam one is great - just get a taxi to Parkview and the walk starts from there. Or get a decent map and just pick a route and explore!! Or join a hiking group Saturday Hikers - get together on saturdays http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SaturdayHikers Hong Kong Trampers - get together on sundays www.hktrampers.com
