Question Pets

I might take a posting with my employer in HK. One non-negociable item is the possibility to bring our dog, a wonderful, gorgeous, unique 7-years old Chocolate Labrador.

Besides the usual no-more-than-30 days vet visit and vaccination, anybody aware of any other potential obstacles ??

Many thanks
Sam

Thumbs up

Guys,
This is great...Thanks a million !!! All the answers are indeed on those links.

Paul,
Good to read we have a dog lover here !! I know exactly what you mean. But not to worry, no cruelty here !! Jules the Lab is a family member...Proof is, we would just turn down the assignment if he could not come with us, or even if he had to go on quarantine (which he could probably not bear...neither could we..).
That said, as I wrote in our other exchange, the job is at Chek Lap Kok Airport, and I'm confident that we can find a place with some grass around in the vicinity (Disco Bay ?)
And last but not least...Labradors are master-oriented dogs, rather than territory-oriented. If you leave a Lab in a big garden, he'll stick to you, rather than "walk the perimeter", as territory-oriented dogs do. In other words, the most important fact of life for most Labs is to be close to their master, and the worse thing you can do to them is leave them alone on their own.

Jules has been with us for 7 years, and we have lived in 400 sqf appartments with not problem.
If this plan works and we ever make it to Hong Kong, I'll introduce you guys to each other !!
Thanks again
Sam
