Are there ways of meeting any people/expats? I'm pretty outgoing if you get to know me but at the same time I'm pretty shy in the beginning and not aggressive enough to go out by myself and start conversations with random people...
Its pretty depressing because now I worry about what I will do on the weekends and how I will spend them alone. I know I sound like a loser but honestly I know how to have fun and a someone good to know (or even date- btw I'm a GIRL)...any suggestions ppl? | I only just got here too, and have just gone out on my own a few times which is fine. I may get to know some people or maybe not. I'm cool either way. The expats I've spoken too so far have not been people i'd want to hang out with so i'd rather just go to bars on my own. Just go to Land Kwai Fong or whatever it's called and sit at the bar and talk to other stragglers like me.

| | | Hi I'm a local, just coming back from England. I'm interested to go out with you all. May I join you if you have any gatherings? I can be your tour guide and can organise some events that allow you to taste something very local, of course outside Central or Wanchai. | |

| | | I just moved here from NYC as well. I am in dire need to meet some people as well. I will be here for one month then returning to the states and back to Hong Kong to live for a while in Dec. Anyway if you are interested in meeting up at some point that would be pretty cool. I have been to LKF a few times and its quite a blast. But...I see how it could be a little intimidating.
Anyway let me know.
BTW...where did you live in NYC???
