Yes, they're the only ones. I don't know about Olympic, but Shama Studio units are very small for anything more than 2 people. Also, the location is in the midst of many restaurants and pubs which are open late--might be noisy for a family. I have to say, as a dog owner, given the upheaval/stress of travel overseas, your short time here, and the absence of good places to stay here with pooch, your dog and you might be happier with him/her staying home with friends/family.

Dogs in HK

How big is your dog? As an dog lover I would have to agree with the last post. Do you think you could put your dog in kennels at home until you find a place to live here?

Right now it is really hot and humid here and in central there are places to walk your dog but no where to play. We were heart broken but made the decision to leave our dog behind and now I'm so pleased we did. The long hours, small apartments, lack of space and heat would mean she would be miserable, we would feel guilty and it just wouldn't be any fun.

I believe having a dog here is possible especially if you choose to live on the south side or on one of the islands (which unfortunately wasn't going to work for us) but to start with depending upon where you are from a kennel at home would probably be a good idea. That ws going to be our plan and the kennels we visited said it was common practice.

Thanx Irarac for the info. We have a retired greyhound who is very lazy and very much an inside comfort dog. he sleeps most of the day and only requires a short walk to go a toilet. It looks like we will be staying in the Shama Soho as the only place that will except dogs. I think putting him back in kennells here would make him very miserable including me and my family. We are only in HK for 6 months so I hoping it will be ok.
