Any employers here ever applied visa for staff?

Dear all,

I am wondering if there are any company owner here that ever hired someone overseas and applied visa for them? is it difficult to get them granted?

Also I read that if I applied a visa for them and allow them to have part time jobs, they can?

Just thinking, can I hire them as part time, apply visa for them, and allow them to have full time jobs else where?

Any experience input would be greatly appreciated!

KK

You can get into some pretty serious trouble with immigration if they find out this was your original purpose when you applied for the visa.

When I used to be a hiring manager we never gave it a second thought.. given that most of our employees were professionals in the $50K+ range.

Given that you're already thinking of letting the employees work illegally, I'd take bets you're not going to be able to put up a convincing case to immigration.

thanx man,

I was thinking exactly the opposite. And that is offering him/her a chance to work legally. And that's why I posted the question at the first place. I thought I was being clear.

However, I suppose the problem would be putting up a convincing case.

You can hire an employee, apply for his visa, put him on your payroll and sub-contract him out to other companies. He needs to be on your payroll and your payroll only. The other companies will need to pay you, not him. You can then pay him accordingly. To cap what I have just said:You are the employer and the other companies are your clients. You will be liable for employee insurance, mpf and the lot.

Now, applying for visa for a potential employee is fairly easy. The focus here has to be - convincing the immigration authority that you canot find this particular skill set in HK and hence the need to bring someone in from overseas.

Good Luck !

BRILLIANT! Though it would limit the freedom of the employee, but still, I really never thought of that! I would secure her visa before she finds a job.

Oh sure this one has rare talent, can talk thai, english and german fluently. I just don't know where she may find a job May be I should post a job post in the job forum for ideas.
