| | | Travel Agents in HK Hi,
I am currently in HK and I am thinking about visiting Singapore or Thailand but I havent seen any travel agents around! Does anyone know any good travel agents on HK side? If anyone knows of any that are known for their cheap holiday packages I would appreciate the info (name, location, how to get there, etc.)
Thx in advance! | |

| | | WORD OF CAUTION!
I knew someone who booked an Xmas flight back to the UK last year. He'd used the same agent at a travel agents for 3 or 4 years, and always had good service.
The ticket he's booked was an electronic one, and the agent gave him a reference number to quote at the airport. When he got to the airport, he found the ref. number was fictitious, and no ticket had been booked in his name.
He got back to the travels agents to find that the agent there had skipped with the cash from a lot of customers (none of whom, of course, had got the tickets they'd booked and paid for). As the traveller hadn't been issued a receipt, he had no comeback.
Moral: If you get an electronic ticket via a travel agents, MAKE SURE YOU GET A RECEIPT.

| | Yep in light of the above story, I always find it best to just look at Airline websites - often - and wait for the specials to come out. that way there's no chance of a dodgy travel agent ripping you off.. www.cathaypacific.com www.jetstarasia.com
etc
as for hotels, zuji.com, lastminute.com or any of them work well.
i was in SG fairly recently and stayed at the Elizabeth. would really recommend it - great location near Orchard Road, nice pool and restaurant, and very well done rooms. good price too.

| | magnum China Travel issued a receipt for air tickets and 2 nights accommodation. They now tell me that the hotels are full and offering a refund. It's a bit late as the flight is this Friday!
I have checked the hotel and it has spare rooms.
I realise hotels, like airlines, offer different room rates
for different organisations. They tell me this is standard procedure. To take the money before booking!
Is China Travel honour bound to book those rooms as they have had my money for a week now and I have a receipt?

| | | Dear Munki,
If you really need the information, i think i can check with you about the air ticket and accommodations, but i'm sorry that i can't issue the ticket for you because we are not traget into walkin client, anyway, you can tell me your departure date and where you want to go, i can give you the price then you can book it from another agent by yourself.
