Mickey buses on hold
Hong Kong's Transport Department has freaked out the residents of Disco Bay, who want to run a bus service to Sunny Bay, the Disneyland port of call. The distance is about the same as it is to Tung Chung, where everybody catches the MTR for civilization, but the ride to the new Disney train is much faster because there are no traffic lights, no congestion and the walk to the new MTR station is short and covered. So, according to Dbay, the Disco Bay community magazine, the bus line went out and bought three new buses for the run to Disneyland- only to have the Transport Department tell them tough luck. They would have to make do with the nine they've already got. But, we're told by the Transport people, that's only temporary. Eventually they'll get to use the new buses too. So don't get discouraged, Disco Bay. You'll soon get to ride to the train with the mouse ears.
