does anyone know a dvd expert? our dvd is no longer reading dvds but only vcds and to get it checked, philips wants 200hkd and they are likely to come up with an estimate for 800 hkd etc to fix the problem which they think is changing the laser head-
though they aren't sure of that is a problem

if I could find a cheaper option to get someone to take a look to see what is wrong that wud help me decide whether or not to buy a new one (its a pity cos this one is less than 2yrs old -a philips model woth karaoke....so much for brands)
