| | | Best Indian Restaurant in Hong Kong So what's the best Indian place in town?
Do we conclude Veda or Bombay Dreams or something else?
Did someone say that Tandoor has closed down? I hope not, I quite enjoy lunch buffet from time to time especially when they have that "pickled" curry sauce dish or the leg of lamb.
Oh yes, anyone tried the lunch buffet at the Conrad? IMHO that's the best place in town.

| | | Lunch buffet at the Conrad WAS top class when I tried it last a couple of times much over a year ago - bill I remember was around HKD 300 for two incl a fresh lime drink each). Still around? Cost about the same? | |

| | I like Minar in Wanchai. Do not know, but have heard some of the more "famously trendy" are simply overpriced...selling the name. (Went to one of those in the Italian line in LKF recently and will stick to a couple of places on on Knutsford Terrace in TST anytime.) | |

| | For the longest time .. Delhi club was about the only location I'd take tourists who wanted "a curry in chung king".
Cant be bothered with entertaining tourists these days.

| | | indian food well, I have been to only a couple of indian rest here and didn't enjoy the food much, the value for money wasn't there....
I know a couple of small rest owners in TST area, who deliver north Indian food (curry, vegetable, chapati and rice) for just 20 hkds....nothing fancy, but nice and inexpensive....
but yes would like to try out the above mentioned restaurants....like b'bay dreams, jashna etc...

| | | The Afgan Club now known as the India Palace is actually run by a Pakistani gent with a Chinese passport.
All this mixing has a significant effect on the kitchen as the best thing to order is the mixed tandoori grill with assorted breads and Corbra.

| | | I stumbled on a a really good, cheap Indian place called "Asia Curry House" on Temple Street. Sangheet restaurant on Minden Avenue is good. Shalimar in Causeway Bay has good food, but dull ambience. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 03:59 PM. | |
