NFL- What about my Chicago Bears!?!

Okay. I'm brand spanking new to this Forum thing so forgive me if I do not use proper etiquette.

Like icyim, I'm not an expat but I go to China 2-4 times per year. Since my Bears are finally having a breakout season I need to find a way to watch games during my trip 11/6 to 11/16. The subsequent "research" led me to this interesting thread (good work to all); I couldn't resist signing up and adding my thoughts/questions.

Unfortunately, I'll be in Shanghai for the Pats/Indy game at Monday morning 11/6 China time, but I'll be with you in spirit. For the record, I'm with krad: the Colts will beat the Pats in the regular season but when it comes to the playoffs, Brady & the boys will mop up on the inept post-season-abilities of the Colts.

HOWEVER, the following weekend, there is a big NY Giants (4-2) -Bears (6-0!) game just moved from noon EST Sunday to 8pm which is Monday morning 11/13. If Kangaroos is showing that game, I will re-arrange my travel schedule (take the morning off and perhaps the whole day) to go have beers if anyone else has a "flexible" schedule. Did whong ever call Kangaroos to make sure they will be showing the Colts/Pats game?

If I'm pessimistic, I might guess Hong Kong might not happen so I'm going to beat a dead horse on alternatives:

1) Does anyone know any bars in SHANGHAI that might show the game? A random story that makes me think there must be a place: There is a TV commercial playing in the States right now that shows a man traversing in a city (Hong Kong, Shanghai?) for what seems like hours in the middle of the night only to walk into a shop and take off his coat revealing a USC jersey. Then he and a Notre Dame fan share a Coke (Pepsi? yes a beer would be more appropriate) while watching the game.

2) What was the final recommendation for the best option to watch over the Internet?

For the record, I live in St. Louis and am going to the Cardinals-Tigers World Series Game tonight (in a ironic twist, I'm actually a Cubs fan but the World Series is foreign to us so I cannot forgo the opportunity).

I called Kangaroo...

What they're saying is that they "normally" open at around 9:45~10am but if there's a football game they'll open earlier. I have given them my name, my number, the game date and time... The person who answered the call said she will check with the boss and check the game schedule, and get back to me when she finds out.

Kangaroo Pub, 54 to 62 Lockhart Road. 2139-3111.

OMFG I am such a jackass...

I can't believe I did this wrong but... After the Daylight Savings adjustment, the game starts at 9:15am, not 7:15am... I'm such a jackass!

Stephen, owner of Kangaroo, called me back. Game will in fact be on ESPN and they'll be open by 9am and will be showing that game.

TYPE III: thank you for obtaining the address of Kangaroos...

Well, hopefully, I dont need to travel on that day. I should be there to meet u guys since I already jumped on the Pats bandwagon.... (I am not a pats fan).

Stratsy: Yeah! ur bear would finish with 15-1 and get homefield... and... at best... getting to the superbowl... dominating in regular season doesnt guarantee playoffs success... aka... colts 2005... steelers 2004...

GO G-MEN!!!

whong: I have to agree that regular season success does not guarantee playoff success. That's why they play the games, right? For that reason, I really can't talk any smack yet. However, my Bears are looking darn good and, well, time will tell ...

I will assume that no one is interested in watching the Bears-Giants game at Kangaroos on Mon 11/13.

I still would like to get a recommendation on the best way to watch NFL games over the Internet?

So after week 8 the Bears and the Colts remain undefeated, it's too bad the two teams won't get to play against each other until the Super Bowl.

I am very interested in watching the Bears vs Patriots game during week 12 (Nov 26th 1pm ET)... Not too sure about the Bears vs Giants game yet, I'll have to see how work is.

Unless Johnny U is coming out of retirement, can't mention "Colts" and "Superbowl" in same sentence. Of course, Johnny might be tempted to be a Raven instead--except they are really the Browns so who knows. Teams shouldn't be able to move.
