Hemingway's at the Bay in DB has Carribean food and a very nice outdoor setting facing the beach.

I need to open a West Indian style takeout spot with beef patties, jerk chicken and pork, pigeon peas, curry goat, coco bread, Guyanese and Trini food, the works I can totally see there being a demand for it. Some good Caribbean beer would be nice too. Caribs and Red Stripes! Now all I need is a million or so..lol

I'm Indian, but I have lots of experience with West Indian food and culture from my time in NYC. I love good food and I miss all the lovely Caribbean dishes I used to get so easily out in Jamaica Queens. If you were to open one, I'd be there! The trick would be to advertise heavily and to be priced reasonably. Soho would be ideal.

philippe will become famous soon enough
Don't put the cart before the horse

What I wanted to do is to get a group of people who are interested in cooking or trying this kind of food in one place and cook/eat together.

The trouble is since we are in HK, either the places are a bit far away or too expensive, not to mention that you need a proper kitchen.

I have not been able to find a suitable place so far but if you guys like the idea we could try that.
