Cheers all, I am off to Hung Hom seems to be a good place to start. Muji is nice and also GOD.

If I have to assemble one more Ikea unit in this heat I quit.

nothing wrong with ikea, really popular with the masses in uk too, and if you don't want to assemble yourself, pay abit extra and they'll assemble it for you. you can also have them pay to deliver it too

did anyone mention pricerite? It's a cheaper version of ikea, and if it's over 5000 hk, i think it's free delivery and assembling.

For the records, went to Chatham Road in Hung Hom: lots of furniture design studios who specialise in taylormade homes. Some very good and stylish places, plenty of choice too much for one days shopping.

Also went to Homeworld in Hung Hom: many furniture shops under one roof who sell individual items. Good choice and a whole lot of stuff for the western taste, along with some other more, errh, local interest.

Todays result was one taylormade bed in Chatham road, and a tv/stereo bench in Homeworld. Recommended.
