Will be moving to HK with my 3 yo boy and wife in a couple of months' time. Can anyone suggust housing which is near the MTR, convenient and also near some childcare? I will be working in Central.

Thanks in advance.

Twinkle,

Rather than focus on being near an MTR, focus on your budget and then find something close to an MTR station. There is a huge variation in quality in both pricing and quality depending on the locations.

If you're in Central, you might want to consider Kennedy Town, Pokfulam and other areas which are a short bus ride way ...

Rents in HK are atleast double of what they are in Singapore (even if you compare to the CBD). So unless your company is paying accomodation price will be your first criteria. Also comming from Singapore, everything is near the MTR. Hell you can walk from one MTR to the next before you know it (specially on the Island line).

I have a question on Manhattan Heights.........I have checked gohome.com and the prices quoted stands at HKD15000 for a 2 bedroom. When I asked the management at Manhattan Heights, it seemed to be more expensive. Does anyone know the reason why?
