Lightbulb Want to work in HK

Hi, I'm a student in UK who wishes to apply for a job in HK when I finish my studies. I have just returned from studying in HK on exchange and love it so much I want to go back. Does anybody know the best way to do this or could please give me any tips? For example, is it better just to write to companies or look for advertised jobs? Also, is it likely I would obtain a working visa if I have just graduated? and when would be the best time to start applying? I have one year left of my current studies. Thanks for your help.

You can always start by applying for internships.

We've got several people here who are here on summer internships.

Ummm... start calling design related companies?

Sorry .. don't mean to be too much of a smartarse .. but surely your college / university should offer some sort of career guidance on how to go about finding a job?

Heh. Maybe a little too much faith in the quality (existance, even) of college/university career guidance ...

Hi,
I just joined this site and I am hooked for hours, the content is incredible! Regarding your post, I feel I am in a similar position as gazinho. I am coming to Hong Kong as an exchange student from Canada (but Italian national, I am well traveled) for a semester at HKU Business. I am interested in a summer internship and you were mentioning trying to apply for one. To your knowledge, do you know other foreign students who have done that? is it possible to get permission? thanks for your help.
