Question moving from London to HK

I'm moving from London, UK to HK next week. Is there anything not available in HK (spices, cosmetics, toiletries etc) I should be buying in bulk in the UK before leaving to secure strategic supply for the foreseeable future?

seems to me that there is a limited range of shower gels, shampoo etc .. There seem to be two major chemist chains which carry exactly the same products, then again I've only been here a couple of days

If you take vitamin pills I would bring these from the UK, they are quite hard to find in HK, and the range is not as extensive.

I always stock up on Nurofen, Beechams Flu Plus every time. There is no Boots here in HK. HK may not have your exact brand but they will be an equivalent so I wouldnt really worry about it.

Nurofen is available in all pharmacies in HK (along with Advil (the US brand equivalent) and generic ibuprofen (significantly cheaper, but chemically identical)) - why ship it from abroad?

I don't think the range of haircare products is as good here as in the UK, not at least in the main brand chemists. So if you use something specific I'd bring a few pots / tubes out with you. From then on you can search for alterntives etc when you have time. You don't really want to be spending time in week one in HK looking for particular costmetics, drugs and toiletries.

I cannot find (not looked overly hard) the brand of hair stuff I like here so I get visitors to bring it out and in the event of a crisis (running out of said hair stuff) there is allways DHL.

KIA - I've seen a few posts from you in recent months suggesting importing goods for profit. Do I need to look out for a shop in cyberport with your name on (geoexpat - supplies) selling a disprate range of products from pool tables to hair wax?
